Sustainability in Action: Why We Use Natural Yarns to Create Pepper Vally Knitted products
We love the fashion industry. Besides its basic function of protecting us from the elements, fashion contributes to the global economy, fosters creativity and innovation, creates entrepreneurs, and contributes to societal changes. But it can also harm our planet.
In fact, fashion is the second most polluting industry after oil and as our industry grows, so does the environmental damage. We are aware of the issues, which is why we are committed to low-waste, sustainable production and thoughtful practices to reduce our environmental impact.
We source yarn ethically from farmers supporting regenerative agriculture. We work with local communities in Greece to design our prototypes, and we control the manufacturing of Pepper Vally products by using our own knitting machines exclusively at our base facility in Athens.
Taking our values a step further, we use handmade packaging and eco-friendly paper for shipping, and we upcycle items and turn it into new products for other uses (pillowcases, furniture tapestry).
Last but not least, we use only natural or low-impact yarns to create our ‘comfortable chic’ and performance knitwear: high-quality, durable, and timeless pieces that you can keep wearing.
